How do you know as a agent or agency that you have gone from Good to Great?  I mean many agents do good, we work long hours, evenings, and weekends.  We tramp through cold, dark, even scary unlit, unshoveled homes.  We process piles of paperwork, negotiate contracts, stop for gas every other day, and on and on, because that's what a Good agent does.

I have been doing it and more for 24 years and yeah, I think I'm Good at it, and know our agency is Good at it, but Great, wow, that's well Great, I mean the only thing after that is the Greatest, but Great yeah I believe we are there.  Here's why, as a commissioned base job, I believe Great"ness" comes maybe by telling your clients not to buy, not to sell, maybe not to do anything. Oh my, no commission, no moola, yeah, I believe that is where "Great"ness" begins.  

I have found myself more lately saying to clients, "think about what you are concidering doing and how it will effect your life 3, 5, 10 years from now, and whether or not buying this or selling that is a good decision and maybe doing nothing is the best decision.  Yes, that is where being Great lies.  In fact, you really care more about serving others than selling others, and for me and our company, It's Great being us and serving you.
